Advantages of Glass Balcony Railings

Glass railings are easy to maintain, resistant to precipitation, temperature fluctuations, and UV exposure. Their service life can reach decades without repairs.

One of the strongest options is laminated glass (triplex). It is extremely hard to break, and even if damaged, the fragments remain attached to the film. For buildings higher than the 3rd floor, we recommend triplex; for private houses, tempered glass is suitable.

Glass railings can be customized by thickness, glass tint, and hardware style.

Mounting Options for Glass Railings

The mounting method determines the reliability of the structure, its appearance, and ease of use.

Stainless steel posts. For standard floors, we use posts with clamping plates 250–400 mm long. For higher floors, reinforced posts with heights of 500–700 mm are used.

Point-fixing connectors. Consist of a 10–50 mm spacer and a clamping part. They provide a lightweight appearance and a “floating glass” effect.

U-shaped protective profile. Covers the glass edge, protects it from chips and gives a finished look to the construction.

Handrails:

• Round handrail (42.4 mm) — a classic soft-shape design.
• Square handrail (40×40 mm) — a modern minimalist option.

What Type of Glass Is Used

CrystalForm manufactures structures of any complexity. We use tempered glass 8–15 mm thick and laminated glass (triplex) 12–17 mm — the highest level of strength and safety.

Custom projects are available, considering dimensions, floor height, glass type, and mounting system.

Glass Tint Options

Clear glass. Maximum transparency and an open-space effect.

Graphite. Deep grey tint offering privacy and a modern look.

Bronze. Warm tone that pairs beautifully with wood, stone, and natural façades.

Diamond glass. Ultra-clear glass without the greenish tint typical of standard clear glass.

Stainless Steel Hardware

Stainless steel hardware ensures strength, durability, and resistance to harsh weather conditions. It requires minimal maintenance and retains its appearance for years.

Available finishes:

• Polished. Mirror-like shine and a modern premium look.
• Satin (matte). Calm, non-reflective finish ideal for warm tones and tinted glass.
• Black powder coating. Strong contrast, contemporary style, and extra protection. Perfect for coastal areas.
